How would you have done Obito?

I've always thought of him meeting someone that really takes his heart along his quest for project Tsuki No Me. Sooner or later I would have him get over Rin.

He was a poorly done character with a lot of potential for a good backstory and a Gaiden. Anyone has any ideas?

I think he was done well. Ppl love to simplify his situation with rin but I think he's the best uchiha villain.

I think there was more to it than just Rin, but Kishimoto didn't go deep enough.

Obito was done perfectly he was a incomplete being his 1st death was symbolic of who he was he was caught up in a plan that wasn't his and his soul was broken . I wish they would have kept him a villian and not try to redeem him

He should have been killed off earlier to make room for a proper villain. His motives were just too stupid to make him one of the main villains. I would have kept him as he is to develop Kakashis story but killed him much earlier in the story.

Between him trying to take control of madz plan and make it his own and using Tnj on Naruto I think he's exceptionally done. His introduction to me was flawless as lots of ppl at the time assumed obito was dead. To me he seemed like someone who gave up on life. He's honestly one of my favorites in terms of character.

The whole thing with rin would of been fine had they not decided to hammer it in every scene obito got, other than that he was done fine... but they rin rin rin sh t killed it for me. If they would of given his motive post rin, and left the rin thing alone it would of been cool too.... but that's not what happened

Either keep him as a bad guy or make his redemption less rushed. I can't stress this enough, but one's childhood dreams shouldn't matter this much.

Obito is actually one of the most complex and misunderstood characters in the series.

Try this analogy. Why is Spider-man saving people around ? Because uncle Ben was killed by a criminal ? No. Because he doesn't want innocent to be caught into what happened to his uncle. Differentiate the trigger and the reason. Rin/Uncle Ben death is the trigger. The reason for Spidey and Obito is that they are both pissed off .

Whenever Spidey is down on his resolve, he goes back thinking about his uncle's motto. So does Obito when he needs power surges he remembers how things were back then.

He himself said that he dislikes the shinobi system and mindless killing.

Obito is moved by purpose, even as child, he showed that he will act only according to what he think is right...so fighting naruto, caused a doubt in his heart/ideals....so Obito could not give it a 100% cuz he wanted to be assured that what he was doing was indeed right. By trying to break Naruto with questions like why do u fight? He was actually trying to convince himself that he is indeed on the right path so he can go all out.

As i said, Obito is not your usual villain(orochimaru/madara) who will do shi*t just for the sake of more shi*t. Just cuz he chose a wrong path doesn't mean he had to stay wrong till the end, he is willing to accept his mistakes even at the last breath and change his ways. This is why it is far more important for him to stay true to himself unlike other villains. He does not take action unless he believes in it.

He didn't get enough depth for his reasoning and anger. Kishimoto could have gone deeper than Rin

What ruined Obito for me in Naruto was the author himself. The character was kinda shitted on with all the Rin stuff. Rin this, Rin that, you let Rin die, it's because i want to change the world, no it's because you let Rin die. You know... that sort of thing.

I think I would of given him a little bit more character development. His character feels rushed and very shallow.
