How would you change Naruto?

So I want to draw a fan manga set in the Naruto world, but with different characters, plot, details, etc. I'm wondering how you would want Naruto to be like.

For example some things I want to include:
- ninja are more equal in strength (no OP characters)
- more strategic battle elements
- bigger and better chuunin exam
- more manipulating characters
etc..

What do you want to see? More bloodshed? More deaths? Romance? More village A vs. village B? Any characters you think should stay?

Madara is main character
I say this because i want:
More drama/ action/ more senju in manga/ more uzumaki in manga/ more info on clans and founding of each village/ alliances in clans and villages+ why/ more on tobi and his plans

Also, naruto doesnt befriend kurama and minato is never created.

Yeah, with strong characters, but can be taken down with strategy. An example would be like how Deidara's explosive clay can be taken out with lightning attacks. A weaker character could diffuse his clay even though its a high-level jutsu

In Naruto most of the ninjas were taken out throught a written test, I would like to see more ninjas during a fighting stage of the Exam and keep it fair. No bullshit like Orochimaru sneaking in and attacking kids (even though I can't blame him, A forest full of unsupervised kids is a pedos dream).

Exactly.. the chuunin exam arc could have been killer with more villages and fighting. The written test was cool, but not as interesting as the fighting-based challenges.

Also, I'm not going to keep exactly the same characters. New name, maybe a little different personality, stuff like that. And Shikamaru would be awesome in a strategy>power based manga.

I also plan on having a 'true' ninja prodigy. Like a kid who's really young but can go toe to toe with A-rank ninja. I say this because I've always wanted to see young Itachi kick some major ass.

If it looks too similar to Naruto, you are copy right infringing on Kishi, leaving yourself to a law suit you can't win. You better be careful on how you do it. It must be totally different in characters and storyline from Naruto or you face serious lawsuits.

Perhaps a prologue where you create the equivalent of the Konoha 11 except in a previous generation. 2nd and 3rd generations are lacking in canon to contradict. Perhaps an epilogue that vaguely references the great Uchiha/Usumaki battle of whenever.

I think the main thing to incorporate with the prodigy will be a vast knowledge of skills so that he isn't constantly spamming rasengan. Also, I would love him to have a personality like Itachi; someone who is always calm and is always thinking ahead.
