[Question] How would OP fans feel

If oda took a year or something break? He has been sick a lot recently and is only taking a 2 week break to get back to the fans recently but he really could use more time.
We all get the manga for free and even if you pay he put in about 2 decades of work so why not?

I'd be sad for a moment but it would be for the best. The guy has done so much to impress us over the years that it's only fair for him since he works damn hard with his not-so-good health. So I'd be fine if he took a break for a year.

what if oda just took time to give future plot hints once a week to keep fans busy and him relaxed or something? That wouldnt be that bad. Hell he could just tweet 52 word play hints for future manga (52 to keep once a week for a year) And still rest and relax and fans could spend their time trying to decode these hints.

Oda hasn't been sick a lot, that's not true. That's based on a old rumor from two years ago when he was first hospitalized to get his tonsils removed. And now every break that the magazine plans this pops up again.

This week it's true that there announcement about him being in the hospital but this man has been doing this for 15 years, smokes like a chimney and sleeps for 4 hours a day and never is able to go on vacation or spend time with his family, So I'm glad his health is monitored properly and I think he should take the time off he deserves.

But as he said in multiple interviews he puts his fans way higher than himself so this man won't cut himself some slack sadly.

Bottom line he should take time off, but he certainly won't (at least not on his own)

I wouldn't mind. Wasn't it stated in a interview that he gets only 3 hours of sleep? If so, and if he still continues that work habit/ethic then that's going to be really bad. I feel bad for him but it's what he loves. I remember vaguely that he said if he had free time he would spend it with his family. I really hope he goes on hiatus, he truly deserves a year hiatus & his assistants.

I honestly wouldn't mind a one year break. It's not like without One Piece I automatically become super bored so.

More than that OP is his dream. I remember reading he decided he'd become a mangaka when he was 4. He lives for making the manga.

OT - I wouldn't mind a year long break. Oda Sensei's health is important.
