I firmly believe jiraiya has the advantage. Sound genjutsu is completely different than ocular genjutsu.
How would Jirayia kill Tsunade

and slugs acid isnt the same a stomach acid

There are a lot of ways he could kill her but a simple way would be the toad mouth trap the more you fight it the more it takes hold of you or the next way I love it the toad song in sage mode where you are dissolve by stomach acid...

Why cant she just punch her way out of the stomach? Or even use a Chakra Scapel, she is a medic traped in an organ im sure she will find a way out

He can get a Toad to stall for him while he's going into SM. From then on it's a Jiiraiya-smash.
Sage mode is not infinite.
Tsunade is normally stronger than Jirayia. But Kishimoto is usually a sexist and so his readers follow the same mentality on how Tsunade is the weakest of the Sannin and the weakest Hokage. Realistically, someone with her regeneration abilities and raw strenght just wouldn't lose to Jirayia.

People underestimate Jiraiya because he lost to Pain while Naruto won.
1) Naruto was strong.
2) Jiraiya lost to Pain in Amegakure, in the enemy territory.
3) It wasn't happening on an open space like Pain vs Naruto.
4) He didn't have information about the enemy.
I'd honestly say that it's impossible to decide who is stronger between Jiraiya, Orochimaru and Tsunade. There are so many ways one could kill the other that it's not even worth listing. They're all strong enough that it doesn't matter whether A is better than B or the opposite. Both are capable of doing it, so we'd never know WHO is better.
The only way to know when A is better than B is when the difference is obvious. Like Kakashi and Ebisu. Base Naruto could defeat SM Naruto, for instance. SM Naruto could defeat BM Naruto.
Orochimaru is a ***** to die, though. He always find a way back to the land of living.

no need for the long arguments/debates, and am not being biased here BUT aside from the statements in the series (that he is superior) nothing absolutely NOTHING from the arsenal to the events (how the story went down) proves that tsunade is stronger.
this is a waste of time, and aside from the fact that jiraiya was the strongest shinobi in the leaf in the pain arc (go reread it) even Pain knew tsunade (the hokage) and didn't see her as a threat when he attacked the leaf (didn't even bother) and look at what happened/the outcome, while Pain's statement after killing jiraiya still stands (do the math).
not saying that tsunade is not strong (she is a SANNIN/no joke) but like jiraiya and every other character, she has a limit. U_U

I must admit that it will be very hard for both of them to fight each other since they are teammates and they know their fighting styles and everything.
Sage Mode takes time to activate so I don't think Jiraiya can use it against Tsunade 'coz she won't let him do that.
but once Jiraiya enters SM, Tsunade will have a damn hard time..
Tsunade is the Greatest Medical Nnja and very skillful in the art of evasion, she's quick enough and strong enough to one-hit KO Jiraiya, no need for Byakugo or Creation Rebirth.

"battle abilities" and that is different from her super strength?? from a character that is mainly a MEDIC (no actual offensive jutsu).
that already happened in part1 (against kabuto). a legendary medic/close combat fighter like tsunade is better/extremely dangerous in a team (can make the team extremely strong) but her abilities are not suitable for a 1on1 fight against a strong opponent.

How is she going to consciously activate the Yin Seal if she's under genjutsu? And while the slug's acid isn't the same as stomach acid, it wouldn't have nearly as much of an effect in the stomach.:devil:

what I mean is, she always take the role of a medic rather than going all-out and front fighter
she couldn't fight with all her strength 'coz she is healing and worrying about others
but I believe when she fight one-on-one without healing anybody, she'll be a very tough opponent.
she was rusty during the part 1 fight against Kabuto, and don't forget that Kabuto is as strong as Kakashi which is mid-hig jounin lvl.

she is healing/taking care of everyone because that's the ROLE of a medic.
the characters have to be balanced (she can't be the best medic alive and have the best offensive jutsu), so each shinobi has a role (also kakashi in part1 can't compete with the saninns as he stated).
she is a legendary medic and a capable/experienced fighter but she can't compete with the strong/experienced combat specialists (no serious offensive jutsu at all). seems like you like tsunade a lot (avatar/sig) and i also liked tsunade from the moment she showed up in part1 (a fan of ALL of the sannins/the old meaningful characters of the series) but stating her limits doesn't take away anything from tsunade (she is still a legendary shinobi/sannin).

it's awesome but relying on close combat alone is not effective without super speed/good diversion (another reason to why she is more dangerous in a team).
