No he didnt use RSM as the movie was already done in 2012 when RSM was not unlocked.Hence it was already done in KCM mode and they couldnt be half assed into redoing the fight with RSM techs.Sasuke occupied only 30 seconds and for him all it was editing a eye to show Rinnegan hence they did it for him.
If spoilers was the reason they wouldnt show Sasuke with Rinnegan
