I never do get the point of these kinds of things. Plot wise Both Naruto and Sasuke would be either dead or in MT if Sasuke hadn't transplanted Itachi's eyes so y would he need to defend against Naruto?

I wholeheartedly agree, it's just everyone always tries to deny the fact Sasuke wouldn't be as strong as he would be without Itachi's eyes.

People seem to forget that naruto would of been an expert in sage mode if not for the nine tales, especially since it didn't allow him to fuse with ma and pa. Naruto without the nine tales slaughters ms sasuke.

Naruto does not have SM without Kyuubi becuz without kyuubi naruto is dead so you cannot say that.

Sasuke has eyes yin and chakra of the sage sasuke would still be above kage level hence orochimaru covets him. Without eyes still has yin access to genjutsu and chakra access to multiple chakra nature's therefore multiple jutsu.
While naruto 1/2 the lifforce of the sage iruka level chakra(since no kyubi chakra leaking into his raising his reserves to high levels. So sage mode goes out of the window.
Not much it would be like a kaka shi 2.0 vs iruka my humble and neutral analysis based on manga facts with some assumptions.
