How were you introduced to anime?

Pokemon/DBZ/Cardcaptor Sakura/Salior Moon/Digimon/etc. but during like 2001-03 (can't remember exactly), 4kids dub of OP f*cked up my perception on not only OP but anime in general. They got other shows that were pathetic as well. I've Naruto on TV like during 2006 and I'd just watch it when I'm bored/eating but I eventually started to read/watch it in 2010. Naruto was the first series that I've caught up with.

Well some of my friends always were talking about Naruto & One Piece. Then i thought heck i wanna join in the conversation so i asked them what sites i cam watch these in.

I gotta admit, watching anime in Japanese with english subtitles was soo hilarious and i couldnt take it seriously but with time i became open minded to watchung anime like this then continued, now look at me im a big fan of Naruto & One piece XD

Was introduced by my uncle with Naruto, it was his favorite anime and he would watch the bootleg DVD copies of it (Dattebayo subs). I would watch it with him and over time I got into it.

For me and probably most western anime fans, it was the Toonami block on Cartoon Network that got us hooked. Though I'm probably not speaking for all of us, just a significant group of anime fans, we were intrigued by the oddly designed characters, curious power designs, and overall foreign feel to these anime series, whether it be Pokemon, Dragon Ball, Naruto, or Sailor Moon (< Sooo many girls I know were hooked by that show), something in there got us wondering, "Is there more of this new thing out there?" and went to search out for it.

I grew up watching Pokemon and Yugioh anime since 2002 on local television, too bad local TV is dead now. But it was a great experience watching these shows every Saturday morning.
