How were you hooked on Naruto?

Pretty much this for me also. I was having Chili with crackers and was waiting to see SSJ3 Goku kick Majin Buu's ass, but before that came on, a stupid show called Naruto was on. So I was watching it, and Kakashi vs Zabuza was the episode that day. It was simply epic. I honestly could care less of what people think of me. If I watch something that others don't like, they really don't care. A lot of the "cool" [there is no such thing as a cool kid by the way. Everyone has friends, so in retrospect, everyone should be cool] kids don't care or have better things to do, or even watch it themselves. Most of my friends watch sports like the NFL [as do I] but who gives a **** about what you do [on certain subjects you dirty dopers].

It was about 8-9 years ago I was flipping through Cartoon Network and saw like a minute and a half of the Gaara and Lee fight. Thought it was kinda dim so just kept on going. About 4 years later when I had just turned 15 I was looking up the song headstrong and an Naruto amv on with Naruto and Sasuke fighting in the valley of the end. I watched many videos of the valley of the end fight. And then found out that Naruto was an anime (btw didn't know what am anime was until Naruto) and I begin watching from the 1st episode a the way til the end of the end dubbed episodes. (Whig btw I couldn't stand the subbed episodes but now I love and hate the dubbed xD)but the. I found out that there was a manga and read it until the point til now 3 years later. :/ pretty boring story I know lol

Pretty much the same story as you man, except when I first learned of Naruto's existence, it was infact when it was on tv, when I was younger, then later on I stopped watching because it stopped coming off the tv. What got me back into it was when I HEARD that there was a "Part 2" called Shippuden... I watched it until the Pain invasion arc... I thought THAT was the end of it all after Naruto beat Pain and thought it was one of the best battles in many an age.

Pein and Sasuke. I was interested in watching Naruto cuz I watched some part 1 eps and some when I was a kid, but Pein and Sasuke got me to stick with it.

This as well... I was always waiting for them to finally find Sasuke. I remember in part one they would take forever with Naruto trying to find Sasuke, never finding him. When they showed Sasuke finally reunited with Naruto and the crew in beginning of shippuden, I almost lost my breath, because of the suspense and excitement of seeing him I guess. He was like a reincarnated version of........Sesshomaru. It was marvelous.

I used to watch in the afternoons with my brother. Then I stopped for a few years, and one day I found out there was a second series, so I watched that, stopped for a little, and found this site and found out there was a manga. Then I read part of the manga and started reading the weekly updates.

Anime got me completely hooked at the Wave and Chunnin exam arcs.
Then it stopped airing on the channels I had and I forgot about it.

Fast forward like 5 - 6 years and I stumble upon DBZ- Kai on Tv.
I decide to re-watch the DBZ for old times sake. While watching it I remember this old show I used to love, Naruto.
Of course, the first thing I look up is : Did Sasuke Kill Itachi. I find out he did in Episode XX and Manga Chapter XX.
I wonder what this Manga thing is but I quickly forget it and go to youtube to look up Sasuke vs Itachi.
After I finished watching it, im hooked again. I go and start off from where I left off and start watching. Few days later I start wondering who the f is this Tobi guy ( I had some doubts on Obito) and I go search it up. Imagine my luck, it was the same week that Obito was unmasked in Manga. I hear this Manga thing again and I look it up. I find out what it is and that its years ahead of Anime. So I start reading.

As for this site, I stumbled upon it when I was looking for Naruto AMV. I liked how there were countless theories being made and predictions and pairing wars seemed fun so I joined. That was like a year ago

Same here loved dbz. Was reading that Magna online seen some other Magna they were getting soon first day they published a naruto I checked it out and have followed it ever since. That website can't remember the name think it was biz or fizz lol.

Yeah I always loved cartoons and especially one in which they use super abilities such as bending . So I was introduced to naruto by a friend and now I have come to like naruto than any other cartoon

On a more serious note. There was a marathon of first 20 anime eps playing. That's pretty much it... by Ep 100 or so, a friend told me about the manga :/

I saw a meme about Naruto and i get interested...
Beginning of last summer, i was not a child when i started off watching the series unlike many others.

After 10-15 episodes i was about to quit but ending of Land of waves arc made me give a chane.
CE exams arc was quiet good; but watching Lee vs Gaara made me hooked to it...still one of the best fights i have ever seen as far as fictional media goes; after that fight i was like "yeah i am not quitting this".

My brothers friend brought his Naruto box set. It stopped when Naruto beat gaara. I didn't get internet until awhile after and I looked for it and caught up to it. It was already on the Shikamaru arc. Naruto was my gateway anime. I started watching DB, One Piece and Bleach because of it. I started reading the manga because I caught up on one piece and I couldn't wait a week for one piece and had to read it. Best decision ever. Basically Naruto got me into One Piece, which led me to many other manga/manhwa.

I had run into Naruto-related stuff on the Internet long before I started watching/reading it, but in Summer or 2007 we were in the countryside and my cousin brought her laptop with 20 first episodes of Shippuuden. I became a fan of Deidara almost instantly and it also ended with a cliffhanger (Sasori's face) and there was no Internet to continue watching it. We were hooked and even makeshift-cosplayed (me as Deidara, cousin as Itachi) using stuff that we could find to make costumes

Later, I came back home and caught up on Shippuuden, then started reading manga. It was my first manga ever; of course I started reading other series too. I even went to a cosplay convention and bought some merchandise. I fell in and out of Naruto communities since I tended to change fandoms often, I even ended up being an admin of FMA Wiki at some point, but I never stopped reading Naruto every week. Right now Naruto is pretty much my only fandom.
