How were powerful Butsuma Senju and Tajima Uchiha ?

We know that they were equal in power, but how powerful they were ?

Tajima had sharingans with 3 Tomoe and was the leader of his clan ( the most powerful member of the clan at this time ) , so I think that his level is near of Fugaku's level. ( Fillers are not canon so Fugaku has not MS ). As abilities we can say that as Uchiha chief he mastered Katon and Genjutsu + Kenjutsu.

Concerning Butsuma Senju , we haven't information about him , but we can suppose that as Senju clan leader he mastered two chakra nature ( Suiton and Doton ? ) and was good in Taijutsu + Stamina.

If doton or suiton are common in the Senju clan, then yes maybe. But taijutsu isn't known for being the Senju's forte really stamina despite that massive stamina they have for it.

I still don't see what the counter is for visual genjutsu besides the fact that Butsuma has a senju member to disrupt his chakra for him.

It's not making much sense to me here

No really. Not because you are is war you are stronger.

Or why, does a kid like Gaara (Before time skip) can beat Jonnin level ninjas (Who has experience)

Or why does Tsunade is weaker than Kakashi when she was in big part of the second war?

In fact, I think that while there is no war the development of the ninjas could be better when we talk about knowledge, training and jutsus.

In fact, most boost power is out of war. Just look at the manga. If you are in war you cant grow much just take to the limits the abilities you already have unless you have PU.

But you gain more experience in real battles for sure, you just grow in peace.
