Notice the Sand holding the flames is runny and dripping. The sand also instead of blocking the flames as a wall indents and appears to be softened. The flames clearly show a difference in Sharpness in the Susanoo Arrow than the original[

The Flames your speaking about are not actually touching Gaara's Sand only the flames at the top, here's a front perspective of Gaara. Remember Sasuke only used 1 Enton Attack towards Gaara. I would assume it is pointless to continue debating that the Susanoo Arrow penetrates Gaara's defense so I guess it's agree to disagree.

Sasuke doesnt have Perfect Susanoo but is highly capable with Amersterasu.

Yasaka Magatama could penetrate Onoki's Golem and Gaara's sand even though it lacks the penetrating ability like an arrow does.A simple enton arrow would pierce his sand thanks to the flames makes it weaker and droopier than usual.People who thinks gaara could win has yet to counter how he dodges Amaterasu nevermind stopping the enton arrow.
