You seem to be under the impression that being war heroes net you some cash.

News flash: the entire world and multiple villages were either destroyed or compromised. That includes konoha. There are no assets.

So yea, they can get whatever they want, they can choose to live modestly or not. They were temporarily in an apartment during the movie because their house was being rebuilt.

Being the best medical ninjas or one of the strongest doesn't mean Jack if being one of the strongest and a he hero of the war written in the legends didn't allow him to get whatever he wanted even if he asked for it.

The fact that you're adding their accolades into their assets is proof enough of their wealth. St6 doesn't get to get what they want and they killed Osama. Ino became a vital asset in the war saving the lives of hundreds and she still goes on missions

Compared to the other clans in konoha they're literally the poorest with zero land to their name. So that's basically another loan if it's being rebuilt btw.
