What do you mean? He was taking action on a situation that cannot be fix with Jutsu. He was also then given orders by higher-ups (e.g. Danzou and others) to not interfer as they would handle the problem. Also, what you mention could be the reason he might still be such a "bada-" because he is a young Uchiha with MS and almost prevented War. Overall, he dosen't seem like a failure to me. He was a Shinobi who followed orders and broked the rules for acting on his feelings.

However, it is what you feel. I can't change that. You must of hyped his character up or expected to much out of this chapter seeing as you were let down.

You need to know the circumstances.

First of all, Orochimaru experimented on Danzo a lot. Not sure if that was before the Shisui thing or not, but either way Danzo was always a dangerous man and that's why he was the LEADER of an organization. And for all we know, Danzo wasn't alone against him and perhaps Shisui was unprepared. Why would you automatically jump to conclusions without even knowing the story?

The biggest weenie ever, as he handed itachi his eye he explained how he was scared that danzo would steal his other eye. Meaning he was too scared of danzo so he killed himself instead. Shisui unlocked mangekyo on his own, he should have been more powerful than itachi but he was too scared and fragile.

We know that Kotoamatsukami requires a huge amount of chakra, and we know that it cannot be used often because it requires a huge amount of time to recharge. Plus, if you can only use it every ten years, then Shusui must have only used it once. If he used it once and did not have enough practice or did it incorrectly or missed and targeted the wrong person (or whatever the scenario is) he would have been weakened enough for Danzo to take the eye.

Plus, we know that Danzo was pretty darn strong by himself, and he was surrounded by other powerful root members (Remember Orochimaru?). He had seals that could immobilize a person, and we know that Shisui was a member of ANBU and would have been in contact with Danzo.

People think that Danzo is a wimp and he isn't. Especially not when he was younger. We know Hiruzen was weaker as he got old and Danzo would have been the same way. 10 years before he died, he might have been much more powerful.

Maybe Danzo was actually that strong???? He has that curse seal that can paralyze. Last time I checked Shisui does not have the hatred to break that seal unlike Sasuke.
