well we all know oro wanted saskue but his ultimate goal was rinnegan and the powers of the sage. so even if he got saskues body he still wouldnt be able to beat itachi imo so what was the point really? you think is orochimaru had saskues body he could beat itachi ?

If he took his body then I guess he has Uchiha DNA. Once he's done that all he had to do was defeat someone with the MS, in this case Itachi. I agree that he would have lost anyway. Who knows though, Orochimaru had plenty of Jutsu up his sleeve.

New powers+decades of experience+youth+additional years to develop= a definite advantage for Orochimaru. Again, this isn't proof either, but I'm trying not to make baseless claims.

Orochimaru knows lot about Uchiha clan and if Sasuke(oro ) defeated Itachi, he can take itachi's eyes and do same as Tobi.

the only way Orochimaru would lose to Itachi if he took over Sasuke's body is if he was overconfident as usual and got sealed. Orochimaru's mind and techniques in Sasuke's body would outlast Itachi 9 times out of 10, no genjutsu weakness, better stamina, able to spam the substitution jutsu, edo tensei...
