When Danzo fought Sasuke he used Izanagi and it was said that the technique needed Hashirama cells but later Itachi said that the Izanami was meant to stop the users of the Izanagi in the past.
How is that possible if ninjas in the past didn't use Hashirama cells? Maybe it was a simple legend that Itachi thought was real? And how did madara do it if he didn't had the cells in his last battle
Hashirama's cells were just used to extend the use of Izanagi and also use multiple. Likewise, Obito was able to extend his to ten minutes. The cells aren't needed. You just need a Sharingan.
A transcript seal requires a second party. And it's a Justu that is use when specific requirements are met.

What? I'm talking about Hashirama's cells being needed for Izanagi as stated by the OP, I'm saying either whoever said that in the magna lied or Itachi lied about it being used to counter Izanami, since it was shown to counter Izanami we can assume Itachi told the truth and Danzo(or whoever it was that said they needed Hashi cells) lied or was wrong and believed false information.
1. One only needs Sharingan and the DNA of any Senju.
2. The Uchiha and Senju had plenty of bouts against each other long before Hashirama and Madara were ever born, so there were Uchiha who regularly stole Senju DNA to use Izanagi since they probably realized that they wouldn't have the potential to awaken a MS and therefore saw being able to use Izanagi as the next best thing.

Ya, I'm saying that neither is wrong and both characters are right.
You need spiritual energy to make all damage become a dream and life energy to bring your physical body back. Uchiha's don't have the physical energy properties to comeback, that's a senju ability.
What the Uchihas used is the same thing as EMS Madara. Just transcript seals, these are seals that can be achieved by transplant only. When uchihas were not allowed to fail, those transcript izanagi were required.

It's a MS ability that can create techniques to activate at a certain time, the same as how itachi left amatersu in sasuke's left eye, madara implanted izanagi into his right eye.
So picture Madara as Sasuke getting his right eye implanted by a second person/or thing and only getting one chance to use this transcript seal. But in this case he doesn't need to to obito's eyes for it to activate like sasuke, he just needs to die in order for it to automatically activate.
It's like confusing transcript amatersu with the actual amatersu.
