How was Gaiden Sarada different from current Sarada?

People are saying that Gaiden Sarada was different from (and better than) current Sarada. How so? They seem more or less the same to me. The only difference is their outfit. Both Saradas are serious, calm, collected, analytical, etc... I don't really see the difference that you guys are talking about. Only one scene comes to mind when I think about potential character differences between Gaiden Sarada and current Sarada, and that is the rather infamous scene where she was taunting those mujina bandits. Even then, I feel like most of the infamy comes from that ridiculous translation "I wonder if he's my type". Aside from that, Sarada's character has seemed rather consistent to me.

If you look prior to Gaiden and see Sarada's interaction with Boruto and overall ethos then you would know it is the same to her genin self right now.

Rather people are now just seeing more of it, compared to the academy were the main trio was Shikadai, Mitsuki and Boruto.


Plus Gaiden was Sarada at a breaking point, a physiological struggle to find her identity. Not really the standard Sarada that goes out every day doing missions, or the generalization of her total personality.


The only thing that has changed post Gaiden is her career choice and her admiration for the 7th.

Gaiden Sarada, if she continued on her delussional path she could be manipulated like her dad. Current Sarada can't be manipulated and is more like Sakura in terms of achiving her goal.

Bad writing, lack of spotlight(all about Boruto) and dress is all that's wrong with current Sarada manga wise anyway.

All attention on the poor no delivering MC leads to Sarada being ignored by the directors. She's fecking badass and sexy. 99% community likes her and refuses they like her to bash her, but even haters can't with-hold from her charisma and charm. Best female character + Sakura. She'll obviously, be more powerful than boruto with his asspull Jougan and Byakugan weak tier eyes.
