Compared to Naruto, is it much bigger in terms of characters, power ups, and things to talk about? I've never really watched it.

Well... you can kinda put it this way.. the story of Naruto explores a continent. While the story of One Piece explores a whole globe/planet.

Yeah, One Piece has tons of content. Lots of characters and powers. As far as the actual world goes, it mostly follows the Straw Hats' path so you don't necessarily get to see everything. There have been quite a few islands or countries that have been mentioned or shown once that we'll probably never see the entirety of. Oda has introduced so many different types of characters from fishmen to giants. There are so many different factions in the story too that it makes the possibilities of large-scale conflicts all the more interesting. You've got the world governemt, the revolutionaries, the shichibukai, the yonko, etc. There are just so many possibilities in the world of One Piece!

One Piece is predominantly world-building since it's an adventure manga. Its world, content, and characters are far more vast than Naruto's by nature of the stories.

I highly recommend it! Each arc has its own unique aspect of adventure to it. The realm of possibilities is just so great and you never know what might happen :p

There is much more to talk about when it comes to One Piece I'll tell you that much. More characters yes. Powerups? You mean variety of powers? Sure, but Naruto in the war arc managed to get plenty of powerups. Don't really see the importance of that though.

It's bigger than naruto's and it's still developing, to be clear, one of the characters "enel" is actually currently in the moon :lol. But as someone above me said, we don't get to witness most of it as we follow the adventure of the strawhats, still you'd find lots of creative places/powers. As for power, let's just say it's right between naruto and HunterXhunter. The majority are not very hax nor unique but still balanced and consistent. You can actually find powers that are naturally superior to others despite not being overall stronger.

Though lately, there has been lots of issues regarding the usage haki imo, making it one of the worst things to ever happen in one piece.

The world is huge with a big variety of Islands/climates etc
U have desert Islands, Winter Islands, prehistoric Islands, Islands in the sky , on the bottom of the ocean...
There are a sh i t ton of characters from different species, such as humans, giants, dwarfs, minks, fishman, Sea Kings etc...
Every MC (about 9) have their own goals (sublot) to accomplish so there is walways something to talk about.
Pirates fighting Marines, Pirates fighting other pirates, Pirates fighting the Monarchies of Islands and thro in the revolutionairies in there too and u have a lot of awesome things going down in the OP world

The "world" aka "planet" is probably the same size as both take place on an alternate "earth".

However, in One Piece we get to see more of the world, compared to what we see in Naruto. Naruto takes place on 1 continent, One Piece takes place on the entire world.

I always felt this meme describes One Piece pretty well compared to other popular manga.

Characters, mmm about equal in amount but in attention I'd say OP is above. power ups Naruto is well beyond OP scale of power ups. Things to talk about the advantage def. goes to OP, especially now there's nothing left to discuss really for Naruto but even when there was OP has a lot A LOT to discuss.
