I made a thread about Naruto being handicapped since he was few truth-seeking orbs. Long story short, Kidgamer and me got into a disagreement about its power and how some of its uses work. So now, I'm making a thread about how I think they work and we'll debate from there (he's linked to the thread). Anybody can participate of course.
Here's the previous thread.
First off, I'd like to address 1 statement Kidgamer made. He said that despite the fact it has more natures, TSB are not more powerful than partical style. This is negated by the fact that KKGs are always more powerful than single-nature type.(provided there's no outside factors like chakra or one's less skilled) Example: Wind style, ransenshuriken is not nearly as powerful as lava style ransenshuriken. This, and Hiruzen already stated truth-seeking orbs are superior. (Hiruzen's analysis will become important later on in this thread)
Now, on to how it works. Going by Hiruzen's statement, it's the same as particle style but is more adaptable and is maintained for longer. This means it disintegrates things on the atomic/sub-atomic level.
Of course, there are inconsistencies.
So, what's the explanation? Here's how I view this. Like Particle style, TSBs have an "outer shell" and the actual chakra on the inside. To put it simply, the "box" that Ohnoiki uses to contain particle style is the same as the black substance that we see that shape shifts. This is incredibly durable, yet can be harmed. I think the black substance becomes a tough shape while the actual "particle power" powers its impacts and penetration. This explains why this can happen.
It's merely the outer shell being touched, so things such as grabbing is possible.
Now, here's a question, then is there any way they can be used to disintegrate? The answer is yes. It can do this when used in the same way as particle style.
Notice how it made a neat hole in the ground as opposed to the crater of an explosion and how only the piece of Obito that was near the hole in the ground disappeared while the rest of Obito's body was untouched. Also note how it shinned and then became black and then shrank back to being a TSB. This was not an explosion. This was an expansion and engulfing and disintegrating anything inside. It's just like Particle style.
This is the "true" usage of truth-seeking orbs. Nothing inside of its expansion can survive its disintegration. Particle style alone can level an island.
Now, on to TBBRS.
This is basically the same usage as seen previously, except on a whole different level.
As you can see, they both start off the exact same way. They both shine before they activate their attack.
Naruto does 2 things.
1. He adds the biju's KKgs to the TSBs.
Notice how Naruto turns the small TSBs into very large ransenshurikens. I link this to the statement Black Zetsu made about Kaguya.
It's implied that a TSB user can layer multiple KKGs into a truth-seeking orb and increase it's power. I think that for TBBRS, Naruto Adds the chakra natures of the bijus as well to make it abnormally sized.
2. He uses the ransenshuriken style of shape transformation.
The concept of ransenshuriken is combining the strongest nature and shape transformations simultaneously. The TSBs are actually multiple nature types. Naruto takes this fusion of nature types, and makes it the highest level of nature transformation it can be, and gives it the most intense shape transformation it can be to maximize the TSB's effectiveness.
This makes TBBRS Naruto's most powerful attack. It doesn't matter how big he makes his senjutsu TBBs in his Kurama Avatar. It can't compare to the level of power within the TBBRS due to it being a majorly upscaled Particle style. This is why loosing most of his TSBs is a handicap.
