on topic: i would rather naruto be with sakura that hinata because naruto and sakura have more of a backstory.

I probably would not care but people would be justified in feeling trolled because at this point, the Naruto/Sakura pairing would be more of an asspull than even the Sasuke/Sakura pairing.
Sakura could not get over a batsht villainous Sasuke after the 2nd attempt at her life, for her to get over a redeemed Sasuke (an inevitability) would be an asspull. Naruto would then have to reject Hinata, a character whose only purpose in this manga seems to be as a love interest. Thats two major asspulls against a single inevitability -Sasuke being redeemed.
