How to threads get deleted?

I've made a few threads in the past and recently went to go check up on some old ones. To my suprise, they were gone or deleted. One was a theory about Might Gai and the 8 gates, and the other was a VS thread. Can someone tell me why these got deleted? I didnt request that for them to be deleted so you can understand my confusion

And they delete flame war threads

Closing isn't enough, cause when a troll reads the closed thread

He's gonna make another flame thread

A mod probably deleted them for one of the following
A. They sucked

B. They were already made

C. They were posted in the wrong section

D. They broke the rules in some way shape or form

E. All of the above
