Here is the method for thinking like a scientist.

Make observations -->Make hypothesis -->Test hypothesis -->Analyze your results.

Not very difficult but will you use this in your day to day life?

I believe we all do this, we observe things, conceive opinions from our observations, we apply it, and we see the results. The only difference is that oftentimes we can't test more than one hypothesis and we don't carefully observe things, but that's how life is.
The more important a decision the more people tend to stick to this technique imo
