What if Hidan was a reoccurring villain that always died a different way whenever he was defeated but just to get resurrected at the end of the episode becoming stronger and stronger whenever he appeared? Would you have liked him? I understand he killed Asuma but i don't really think that made much of an impact on the story it was just to put more attention on Kakashi and Gai.

I would have prefered it if he was a serial killer that ran into different characters even if its filler just to see how the deal with him and since he is imortal I think it would have been funny to maybe see different characters throughout history fight him and different people between Gaara's dad and maybe even Zabuza lol this is just a thought i had just figured i should share it

what if he's just really the edo version of Sakumo but only he's constantly using a transformation jutsu and we don't know it?

Lml why? Hidan and kakazu were one of the few villains who had the villainous ambitions and actually acted like ones

I think hidan was fine how he was. I think he got his time in the spotlight enough

Kishi intended more for Hidan, but his editor once again trolled him.

Care to explain?

Kishimoto said that he intended his scythe to have "special tricks". But a la Kaguya Arc, his editor told him to get the arc finished after he'd started.

He was a real c*ck.

How to make an irrelevant character better is what I read from the title tbh.
