How to make food in sims 3? o.O

Kay, I never really been into sims but I just got sims 3 and wanted to try it out.
As I played it everything went okay till I saw that I can't eat dinner, only quick meals. If I press "have dinner" I see sallads and mac with cheese but they are wrote in white color and if I press on it, I get "you must have counter to prepare it". So I thought I have to buy ingridients. I bought everything in grocery shop but I still can't make normal food.

u have to buy an oven enstein u have that in every sims u cant make dinner without an oven or micro wave xD so just buy it

Clicking doesn't work.. But I might need to get cooking to like lvl 2 or 3 from 1

"you need a counter to prepare it" buy lots of counter-top,buy and put your oven,microwave,stove,dishwasher,trash compactor,mixer and also leave a space for cutting and serving..

clean the kitchen lazy xD
or you'll get bugs all over it.

You just need a counter, some space for the Sims to prepare the meals than need chopping and such. Also make sure your fridge is filled and btw Sims 3 sucks, get Sims 2, it's so much better xD
