How to make a dotted border!

Hey guys, some ppl wondered how they had to make a dotted border picture or avatar, and someone requested me to make a tutorial... So I'm making a very easy tutorial for this ;) It looks like it's a very long, or a hard tutorial, but it isn't long at al, and it's really easy!
I used Photoshop Cs6

Step 1:
choose a picture
You must be registered for see images

Step 2:
Go to edit>Stroke.. and choose a white border, (i'm personally using center, 3 px)
(you could also do this with blending options.)
You must be registered for see images
^this step is optional, but I recommend it

Step 3:
Choose a foreground colour you want for the dotted border
You must be registered for see images

Step 4:
press F5, or go to Window>Brush..
and a window, for your brush settings will pop-up
uncheck every box, except Shape Dynamics, and use this settings for the Brush tip shape and for the Shape dynamics
Brush tip shade:

Shape dynamics:

Step 5:
now, you've actually created a small dotted brush, go to the border (edge) of the picture, press on shift, and drag the brush from all above to beneath, and from left to right, beneath to above and right to left... Just like this

After you've performed all these steps, you should be able to end up with something like this:

You could always experiment yourself, and try different stuff out with the brush settings, roundness, size, brush type, spacing, colour... just see what you like. you could also skip step 2, so you'll have a direct dotted border, but it doesn't look very pretty with avatars ;)

Hope you liked this easy tutorial!

P.S. plzz, leave a tutorial request! ;)
