I thought about it and really you look into the past everyday
How?you might ask.
Galaxy's and quasars are light years away quasars are billions so it takes the image that long to get to us
So technically your are looking billions of years to the past
*I might not have been the first one so I do not take right to this find I was just thinking*xdxd

Time is nothing but a system created by man for the purpose of organization. Light behaves both as a wave and particle. It is believe that there is a Super Massive Black Hole at the center of every galaxy. Once you reach the Event Horizon of a Black Hole, there's virtually no escape of it's gravity.

i know, altough ''time'' isnt that simple, its extremely complex to understand, you dont actually look back in time, the waves we interprate as light exist at the same point in the continuum as we do, altough it traveled a long distance, the event itself did occur years before we see it but we cant just say that we see into the past

and

OMG, now that makes me sad, as a physicist i mourne for the future of mankind

XD i put it as simple and as short as i possibly could

yea I know...all that space talk usually makes my head hurt : D

@the topic in general:

there's just so much stuff conserning physics and secrets of the universe that people shouldn't think about it too much. There's just some things we can't understand and I why should we even? Universe will always have mysteries in it.

well i do it because i love physics, i enjoy a lot of my work more than free time, physics is beautyful and if you have the privilege to work with the physicists at Cambridge or other simillar institutions it just makes it that more thrilling

Yeah that's understandable then.

But what I meant was that human race is literally incapabale of understanding all the secrets that the universe holds.

So some people who try desperately to understand them (and I'm not talking about you) should just settle for the fact that we just can't understand it all. Not even the most intelligent scientists.

*sigh* I'll try not to confuse you right now :3. Sometimes, when there's no explanation for things at all, we'll come up with our own explanation as to why something happens.

Why you might ask?

It's a part of human nature, it's our desire to have an explanation for all things even if that explanation is a bit far-fetched. We try to understand things to the best of our abilities. Take dreams for example. There's no proof solid proof of a dreams meaning. That's why there's all these different theories. One theory states that dreams have no true meaning, it's all nonsense. But our human nature strives for us to come up with all these crazy theories to ease and broaden our mind. Even though it could potentially backfire and confuse things ore than it needs to. Mehh, I've rambled on enough.

+ If you want to get technical, our minds process what we see roughly 30 milliseconds after it actually happens (I could be off on the time a tad bit) So we are per say "living in the past" because we see and react to things after they actually happen. Of course, it's not a large gap of time so it holds no true disability.
