I've been thinking a lot about what the whole situation with Guy and Naruto's about and I'm trying to figure out what it means. Don't get me wrong, I think it's total BS, but what's the message conveying? Is Kishi trying to say Naruto's become a God who can change what was supposedly set in stone, that people who use the 8 gates die? Is he saying that after the constant reminders that people who go to all 8 gates die, that Naruto's become powerful enough to change that? Or is Kishi just a s**t writer who can't be consistent with his writing? I just don't know what to think.
Not only am I incredibly disappointed that he's still alive, but people are making the argument that he'll live, but he'll lose all ability to stay as a shinobi. After the whole situation with Lee, that just makes no sense. After Lee basically said he'd rather die than lose his ability to be a shinobi, you'll let Guy live at the price of losing his ability to be a shinobi? I just don't think that makes sense after what Lee went through and all of his pain.
At the same time, if you let Guy live without any major damage, what's the point of rules then? Like how can you go on and on about a person using 8 gates will die, just to let him live without any major sacrifice? I just don't get that, unless, again, Kishi's trying to say Naruto's become god-like to the point of being able to change these firmly set rules.
What do you guys think?
