I think Big Mom is based off her. She sold her body for candy and got knocked up at least 84 times. And she is called Lin Lin.

So that is one big Chinese prostitute if I've ever seen one.

Removed that thread of yours as it was plainly preposterous. Someone made this thread two days ago and then 2 hours after you posted in this thread, you made another thread about the same topic with the reasoning that this thread was dead, which is plainly not true as that would mean it would not be possible for you to make an additional thread so fast. The reality that you still did it very well proves that thread was not necessarily dead.

And on topic the only thing that connects Boa and Shih's is the necklace with that symbol on that specific picture. That's extremely slim proof. If that picture dates back from Shih's own time, then it has some credibility, but if it was made last year, well then then the situation is very different. The potential causality might even be in reverse: Boa is not based on Shih, but someone made a picture of Shih based on Boa. Heck it might even be possible that that IS Boa and that somehow through the mysterious maze that is the internet somehow it ended up being labelled as Ching Shih.

Boa hancock and the Kuja Pirates are strongly inspired by Greek mythology, in particular the Amazones and the Medusa myth. That symbol Boa has on her dress, is the Kuja Pirates jolly roger: snake heads that spiral around a skull, which is an almost ideal visualization of Medusa (who has snakes growing out of her head instead of hair that can petrify people) and Boa (who has the same ability) and I really don't believe in such a convenient coincidence that Shih would have a relation to an almost identical symbol.

If you can't find the origin of that picture, anything that's on it is not trustworthy and can't be used to connect Boa with Shih. I'm not going to pretend that I'm an expert on Asian weaponry, however the sword 'Shih' has strapped across her back is Japanese, not Chinese. Not to mention strapped a sword across your back is something that's often depicted in modern mediums, but historically seen quite rare. Also the ships on the background are Western, not Chinese. Granted you can provide a series of possibilities to explain all of these easily, but that does not take away that that picture is highly dubious and gives me the vibe of being a contemporary fan art of someone that either took a lot of liberty in drawing her or that by accident got tied to her.

The time between the last post and mine was a day. I was the last post in the thread before that. Relostar posted in my thread before posting in this thread. This thread had died at the time of my post or else more people would have seen this post rather than the thread which isn't the case. I really don't care what motives you feel the need to clarify for closing the thread but your first part is inaccurate and rife with the arrogance typical of a Cali post, as for your issues with the picture take that up with the OP who posted the picture.

That was on topic. The topic is about whether Oda knows about this pirate and discussing whether Boa is based on her or not falls under that topic. If Boa is indeed based on her, well then you immediately know that you don't need to inform Oda about her as he already knows about her and even based a character on her.

Exact time and date this thread was made: 07-25-2016, 05:47 AM

Exact time and date you made your first (and originally only) post in this thread: 07-25-2016, 04:38 PM

Exact time and date you made your thread: 7-25-2016, 06:18 PM

That makes a difference of exactly 1 hour and 40 minutes and last time I checked a day consists out of 24 hours. However even assuming it was a day, well that makes no difference whatsoever as 1 hour, 2 hours or a day are so close to each other that they might as well be the same thing when you try to justify the "thread was dead"-statement, in particular because the official time period to acknowledge a thread as being dead, is a whole month of inactivity.

And it's kinda laughable that you are talking about arrogance when you made a thread with a dubious statement you present as a proven fact based on information you almost certainly exclusively got from this thread, but give the impression you found it all yourself and when someone points that out, your argument is that the thread in question was dead and you said this on the exact same day that thread was made and only a few hours after you posted in it...

And my motives are extremely simple and clear: don't go run off with other people's work without even crediting them and don't go making threads about the exact same topic because you decided that 1 hour and 40 minutes of no posts means the thread is dead.
