Hey I'm Suan and I'm going to tell you there is a way to determine what type of powers each Uchiha have once they activate their Manegekyou Sharingan.
In Chapter 619 Tobirama explain when a Uchiha is experiencing the loss of a loved one or despair, special chakra sprouts inside their brains affects the optic nerve produces a change in their eyes. The eye that reflects feelings is called the Sharingan.
Ok you may say "Why are you telling me this even though I know this already?" give me a moment and everything will make sense.
Notice what Tobirama said at the end "The Eyes that reflects feelings" its means the Sharingan is based on how you feel. So what if when an Uchiha activate his/her Manegekyou Sharingan, Their unique powers come from what they feelings during that time.
Here some examples.
OBITO
Let look a Obito. He was pretty much a loser in Konoha but what always make him happy was his love for Rin. After she died, Obito gain his MS power "Kamui" to creating a vortex that takes you to a another dimension. How can I explain that? Well you see, when people get their hearts broken for a loved one either by death or separate. People feel hollow or say their having a feeling that a black hole is inside their chest. This could be a represent of how Obito feel when Rin died. Also how could I explain the another dimension part? When people die (depending on what your religion) they go to the afterlife and sometime if you really love that people, You want to go where he/she is despite how good or bad. That could explain how he got that ability, feeling wanting to go where your pass away loved one is but not until you time.
Itachi
Ok so here Itachi. When he was four year old, he was traumatized by the 3rd Ninja World War.
While doing research, People say that while experiencing war it feel like your witnessing a fire that never go away. Burning and killing everyone within it range. Itachi, now older in his late teens he feel this again when the Uchiha is planning a Coup D'etat. Scared that war may happen again, he follow Konoha order to eradicate them. Because of this he gain his MS power 'Amaterasu" a black fire that never fade away and kill anyone near it. A great representation of war. For his other MS power "Tsukuyomi" that is a superior genjutsu that alter timeflow for 1 second equal one day. Let say that power is about "Deceiving" on how he felt when he tricked his family that he on Konoha side and not their and lying to sasuke.
Madara
Now finally Madara. We don't know what his unique MS power is since Kishi never show it but there a rumor he have Time Manipulation from the ending of Tobi story in Naruto Ultimate Ninja Generations

I can say that how he got this unique power for his MS by feeling he wanted to go back to the past to stop himself from killing his brother Izuna in order to live because he love his brother that much. Even Hashirama said so
Also since Mangekyou Sharingan powers is based on Japanese Gods. If Madara really does have the power to control time, His MS power name will be the Japanese god "Mahâkâla" the God of Time.
Sasuke & Shisui
Well I can't really say for Sasuke. His MS powers is the same as Itachi but he has "Kagutsuchi" the God of Fire
which is Amaterasu that you can shape whatever you want. Also He already stated that he want revenge, so that self explanatory.
Shisui however want to stop the Uchiha's Coup D'etat just like Itachi. So probably during that time he activated his MS power "Kotoamatsukami" the power to control someone forever with a mission. So maybe he felt that he need to force the Uchiha to stop the war with a powerful genjutsu.
