How to decide fav character in NARUTO

The fighting style honestly comes first. That is what attracts me to the character, and if the personality is good enough. I stay a fan of them. Kisame's attitude, typical Beta Male, submissiveness was pleasant. Not everyone needs to be a cocky and powerful shinobi. Kisame's plenty strong, but still allows those who he deems either wiser or stronger then him lead without question. The fact he can turn from a near friendly guy to "Let's take off this kids legs!" In a matter of seconds is a trait that I love in him. He's ruthless, he does what he needs to do. No questions asked.
And, the final moments of a character usually elevates them on my list (if the death was meaningful enough). Kimimaro and Kisame both had deaths that drawn me to them, the fact that they went out fighting and resisting the enemy was great. A good backstory is also recommended, like in the case of Nagato or Sasuke. It always helps, but those things are (unfortunately,) not always present for a character.
