I am in need of help. Plot holes and inconsistencies are a real pain to handle, which is why Im always proofreading, but sometimes I just need some good constructive criticism from others. I want to know what are some good ways I can avoid this problem and how can I improve my writing skills?

It can be very hard to cover up plot holes. To cover plot holes, some authors may choose to not give enough information and thus allow for the readers to think of work arounds so that the plot holes actually can work somehow. Others may introduce something new in order to rid the plothole/cover it up. At least those are some things I have noticed authors do, I've never really written anything, but I can see how easy it would be for a hole in the plot to come up. The simple answer is proofread and do your best, but even then finding a plot hole will likely still be possible.

Try not to make things overly intricate. There is beauty in simplicity, but some depth to the writing can make stories better. I'm no story-writer, but I write poetry, if that means anything. I hope I've helped.
