How they decide on these dubs?

Seriously, cause they already have dubs for anime from this year like Laughing Under the Clouds (beyond shitty) and Knights of Sidonia (a generic mecha) and yet I might have to wait another year or so for gems like Terror in Resonance and Mushishi: The Next Chapter to get the green light? I mean, I get they probably wanna actually put some effort into the dubs for good anime, but it's not like they're making the whole thing from scratch. It's just a translated script and some voice work for crying out loud.

Being dub artis might be a difficult job. You need to say the dialogue at the exact time and also finish it in time.

Usually dubs don't come out for a year or so after the sub, never heard of dubs coming out the same time as the subs.

FUNImation announced they're doing broadcast dubs. I'm not sure why they're dubbing lesser known, lesser quality anime, but I bet there's an article about that somewhere.

Yeah, but it's not like a film scene where every little thing has to be at least somewhat perfect. You just gotta say a few lines into a microphone and even with the lip syncing issue, that shouldn't be more than a few extra takes. And it's not really the time restraint I have an issue with. It's the fact that these other anime are getting the dubs out quick when these far more popular and critically favorable series aren't, cause it's obviously possible if they're doing it.

Well, there's simulcasts like Space Dandy and Psycho-Pass 2, but no, there are plenty that get them within a few months' time and then others that have to wait years. I just don't see the concept behind this "dub priority" they seem to have, even taking the multiple dubbing studios into account. I've heard no one talking about the two series I mentioned, meanwhile EVERYone talks about Terror in Resonance, Tokyo Ghoul, even Mushishi and No Game No Life get decent talk and none of them have dubs yet.
