How the hell did Danzo not know about Kabuto being in the Chunin Exams? I mean, despite frequent claims of him being a fodder who is the worst person in the Naruto franchise, Danzo isn't stupid. Seriously, Danzo supposedly attempted to have Kabuto killed for being too good of a spy, than let's him walk right on in the Chunin Exams.

And you can't say because Orochimaru placed him for the Invasion that he was supposedly allied with Danzo over; it said that Kabuto had been retaking the exams at least five or six times. Even if Danzo and Orochimaru were allied before than, and Oro threatened Danzo, Danzo would seem like the kinda guy to make it look like an accident.

The village being destroyed wasn't a worry to danzo, if you didn't notice how he told his men to stay back during pain invasion and even during oros attack.

He was working with Orochimaru and so he knew what Kabuto was doing. I'm sure Danzo wanted Kabuto in the exams. His goal was to remove Hiruzen.

According to the filler, Danzo wasn't even around. Hiruzen actually removed him from the position. It's non-canon, but that's the only thing I can provide as an explanation.
