[Tier] How strong is Sir Crocodile now?

I've watched One Piece for a time then eventually quit watching after the Alabasta arc. Tried picking it up again but couldn't get into it.
I stopped watching because it looked like my favorite character was out of the show (obviously not). I know Crocodile is a former Shichibukai, was held in the lowest level of Impel Down, participated at Marine Ford, and attacked Whitebeard who is hailed as the God King Messiah of OP in OP. All that makes it seem Crocodile is ridiculously powerful, but I also know there, at least should be now, others who are far stronger than he is.

Is he in top 10-15-20? I'd like just a general gauge of his strength now.

About top 30 I guess. Croco is the type of character that gets hyped but no actual feats due the insane lack of screen time.

I think the main problem is there are so many plot points that I already know about. I can't experience it properly.
I started reading the Impel Down arc to get into the series from there and eventually quit that too. Not a huge fan of the art.

Besides, he´s been a no-show for quite a while, which doesn´t really help...that needs to be considered.

OP is a series where you have to start at the beginning or else you'll be confused. The artwork was strange as hell when I got into it(character in my sig is from OP) especially in the beginning but it came out in 1997 so I can let it pass. Takes some getting used too but its actually pretty unique.

I think u should watch/read OP from Arlong arc.
that's where things started interesting.
Some arcs are really boring but they do contribute a lot.
Some arcs have nothing but have one or two badass moments like Post War arc.
More or less u shouldnot skip arcs.

Don't worry.when ever a character is defeated they bounce back with lot of development in every possible direction......
I hope he is ready to re-enter very soon.
