How strong do you think Fugaku Uchiha was? and did he have MS?

Just wondering on your opinions? Since he WAS the leader of the Uchiha clan at that time and the leader of it's police force.
This is what Narutopedia said about his abilities: As the leader of the Uchiha clan, it is likely that he was well-versed in all the clan's techniques. He taught Sasuke the clan's signature technique, the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, demonstrating great mastery of the technique. He also wielded the Sharingan, similar to most members in his clan. Also, being the leader of the Konoha Military Police Force, it can be said that he was very intelligent and a formidable opponent in battle. He also had some knowledge about the Mangekyō Sharingan, after telling Sasuke that it needs a great sacrifice to awaken.

Well he was the elder of the Uchiha Clan and he knew a lot about the MS when he was telling to Sasuke....Itachi had MS when he was 13 years old so i would say Fugaku also had it..he is every strong, but it hard to call it when we haven't see him in action.

I would figure it the title would go to the strongest uchiha.Being the leader he must of knew some of the if not of all of the most powerful katon justu and the forbidden eye techniques.It can go without saying he knew of the tablet.If he did not know them personally he at least knew how they were performed.

Since he was unable to awaken the Mangekyo, his strength is lacking for an Uchiha, though I'm sure he must have known some of the most powerful Katon techniques within the clan.

Madara, Izuna, Obito, Itachi, Shisui, Sasuke, Uchiha ancestors > Fugaku > other Uchiha during the massacre.

I feel like he was crazy strong. To be put in charge of the police force is saying he can subdue and stop any nuisances to the village is a great feat. This also means behind the hokage and a few others he was in charge if an invasion would take place. He was probably the only uchiha at the time that could compete with itachi (Maybe shisui could too actually). The reason he died by the hands of Itachi so easily is kinda because he let him. In the seconds Itachi was behind fugaku he could ran away or countered somehow. But Fugaku accepted that this was the best way to die and even told Itachi he was proud of him. Noble and Great Shinobi we should've seen more of.

When talking about ranks probably Jounin. I don't think he ever awakened the MS. Yes, he knew about it, but that doesn't mean he had it. Considering it's a Sharingan technique, it's only natural that a wielder of the Sharingan knows about the technique - especially as head of the clan.

Wasn't he surprised that Itachi awakened his? I believe Itachi is one of the few Uchiha who went further than the regular Sharingan, so I doubt Fugaku awakened MS.

He is probably low kage level and had mastery over katon and sharingan based genjutsu. He was probably well versed in taijutsu, kenjutsu and shuriken jutsu as well.

By being the clan leader of the strongest clan in the strongest village, I'd reckon putting him at low kage level is not overrating him. He was probably the strongest Uchiha of his generation which is why he became the chief of the clan.

By far this is the best assumption on this subject which I have read and concur with entirely.
