But he probably is the way he is (full aggression) because he is "the" Super Saiyan, so if he had a heart like Goku he probably would be just a regular Saiyan and thus not have all of the base power he has.

If the story was to stick true with the legend then Broly would have an infinite amount of power that he can obtain. He is supposed to be the one who will save the Saiyans. It also seems like the lore and history of Broly was passed down more than the SSJ GOD mode.
