[Discussion] How strong are blackbeard pirates?

I think they are the weakest yonkou crew. Sure blackbeard is quite strong posseing yami yami no mi and gura gura no mi, high durbility,some basic haki and maybe some other op devil fruits too. He is probably not much weaker than the other 3 yonkous. But his crew? obviously the weakest among the yonkou

Jesus Burger for example despite being one of the strongest BB pirate crew members is complete fodder compared to sabo. Pre mera mer no mi Sabo defeated him with mid difficulty. Then recently again Sabo whipped his ass without even trying. What can he do now? Maybe come up with a new move to defat sabo? called'Ferocious Jesus Burger!!' I am afraid the wrath of the burger is nothing compared to sabo.
The other crew members of the BB crew are even weaker than burger jesus exept shillew. I am preety sure that the wb commanders or shanks crew or big mamas crew would at most mid dif BB'crew

Eh blackbeards crew was never intended to come off as op. It's kinda like how buggy weaseled his way into the shichibuki. Bb is just weaseling his way into the yonkao

As of now, they seem the weakest. We can't really conclude to that since we know little about the other yonko's.

The crew has a lot of growing to do just like SHs, so they most likely aren't as strong other Yonko crews.

That will probably change once Burgess brings in those DFs.

OT: All we have to go on is hype and portrayal. By hype, I'd say they're the second strongest tied with Big Mam, while Shanks and Kaido are tied for first. Eventually, they'll become the strongest.

Law seems like whitebeard in regards to respect for Luffy.(Roger) But seems like more of an ally.

Kidd seems more of a real rival to Luffy though. But favors Shiki in the looks department. Although they don't really look alike.

And BB literally has WBs fruit and represents Luffys strongest opponent much like Whitebeard being Rogers toughest opponent.(seemingly)

The parallel can go much further than that. Both Kid's and Shiki's power predominantly involve making things fly around. When Kid was a child, his hair made him look like he had a lion's mane and Shiki is the golden lion. Both had radical limb replacement as a result of heavy damage to their body. Both are hot-headed who have voiced out against the WG with emphasis. Both are cruel, and gun down people for the smallest of reasons.

Yeah I agree with most people here. BB even with his amazing powers cant do it all himself. His crew needs time to grow and develop. But with hunting devil fruits that becomes much easier. The thing is we don't know how many fruits or what kind he has already gotten his hands on. And I am sure they are hunting WB's old crew for theirs. So we will just have to wait and see I guess. But by the end of the series he will be tied with Shanks and might end up beating him to set up him vs Luffy.

No matter how the series goes, I see them as wannabe's with lucky powers. Otherwise they seem unskilled and reckless. They are simply fortunate that BlackBeard has a uniquely powerful ability; however, they are inexperienced.

I feel like if Burgess had spent his time developing haki rather than looking for DF's he would be far stronger. I feel like armament haki fits him better than almost any DF he could steal anyway except maybe the Diamond fruit (and I know people would rather Shiryu get it but thats really just so zoro can cut diamond)

Yeah he's clearly the next Shiki, I was hoping he would be a more serious rival though. Considering Law acts too much like an ally, Oda needs to make the SNs seem more like threats. Perhaps its too early for that?

Yeah the stakes should be high for competition for the title of PK. I think or I at least hope Law finds some new resolve, now that the fall of Doflamingo is accomplished.

Hopefully he finally acts as if he wants to be PK because right now the only SNs who act like they want it are Luffy and Kidd. Law and Kidd can be serious threats to Luffy if done right. Hopefully he has the drive to become PK just as much as those two.

Weakest crew would be Big Mom's IMO. I don't think Shanks maintains divisions or allies so it's safe to assume that his crew is either weakest or second weakest. When you look at crew alone then Shanks tops the list. As of now Kaido's crew is the strongest followed by BB's crew.

Btw, Burgess isn't a fodder against Sabo, he's more than a match for him.
