One of my first greater predictions, so please be patient with it and my bad english.
At the begining, i want to state that a friend and me are often discussing about naruto, so we have a ranking of the strenght of the shinobis. Normally we argue alot about different things, but concerning to this ranking, we share the same opinion, so i think it should be logically and understandable. This thread should not be about discussing this ranking, please just accept it.
1.Madara (Madara was able to evade each attack of the fourth (T-S-Jutsu!!), and fought the first on nearly the same level. Lets face it, he definetly is by far the strongest ninja alive)

2. naruto and sasuke (it's not definitely sure who is stronger of these two, but this doesnt madder for this)

3. the level around 8-tails, kisame,gai, kakashi, (not really a danger for either naruto or sasuke, and for sure not for madara)
4. the rest (who are too weak to really fight anyone of them)
This thread should be mainly about the future clash between sasuke and naruto. In my opinion, there are only a few possibilities how this may end.
The death of one of them is not really an option, kishi wont kill one of them before madara dies. so both have to survive this battle.
Sasuke's absolute victory is also pretty unlikely, simply because naruto wont give up and sasuke has no reason anymore to let him alive.
Naruto's victory (breaking him all bones and „bring him back to konoha“) would be useless, nobody can stop a ninja on sasuke's level, let him survive and force him to stay in konoha.
So there are just three realistic possibilities.
1.they don't meet. Sasuke is mainly behind danzou and the council, weather he wants to take revenge on the habitants of konoha is not really clear.
However, this would be a pretty lame solution and i dont think that kishi will choose this way, simply because he would disappoint many fans.
2.Sasuke looses to much chakra in the battle against naruto and doesnt think that he's able to beat whole konoha. He escapes.
That would let all endings open, sasuke can later change sides or become the final villian.
3.Sasuke talks to naruto during the battle and switches sides, becoming konohas strongest/ second strongest shinobi.
I consider that to be the possibility with the highest probability, simply because at the point we are now nobody can defeat madara alone and kishi has to developp the story.
I think that most naruto-fans share my opinion, that point three would be the most interesting and probably best end of this battle. However, it's hard to imagine that sasuke simply changes his mind, he has to have a reason to join konoha again. Thats what this thread should be about.
Naruto's talking that once convinced pain wont work, sasuke isnt interested in peace or in the health of other people. He isnt j-mans pupil.
Sasuke is mainly a charakter who thinks about himself. At the moment, he's mainly interested in his form of justice (or revenge), which is probably both, a getaway of reflecting himself as itachis murder, and the only way he was teached to handle things. At the moment, he wants revenge from konoha for the pain he felt, his childhood that was stolen and his clan. So to get him joining konoha, the easiest possibility would be to give him another target to take revenge and making konoha to victims of a greater plan. And kishi created that possibility. And gave naruto the knowledge he has to have to do that. And that's what i found out.
There are two important scenes. The first is this one:
in sasuke's eyes, konoha is guilty for being the humans that overreacted on this „natural desaster“ of the appearance of the fox, separating the uchihas and therefore provoked the plans of the uchihas of a coup d'etat and their obliteration. Thats why he wants to show them his pain, so that they finally understand what they have done to him, to a six-year old child. But what would be if it wasnt a „natural desaster“ as madara claimed? If the appearance of the fox, the fundamental reason for the uchiha-massacre was just a result of a lying man, controlling the kyubi and using it for both, doing several damage to konoha and fueling the mistrust in the uchihas, knowing that the top of konoha would react that way they did? If the council of konoha and the elders were just puppets to take revenge on the clan that once didnt follow the decisions of this man? Being used, as itachi was used by konoha to erase the uchiha.
By the man yondaime is talking about. To naruto.
sadly, with yondaime's spirit gone, there are just two of the three guys alive who saw madara using the kyubi to attack konoha. With yondaime dead, there are just these two alive, madara and this one.
so naruto has no idea about the background history of the uchihas, but he knows one detail that sasuke doesnt know, but which could change sasuke's view of the world completely. And there are more than enough things how they could come to talk about that („akatsuki killed my father“ or sasuke talks before he surpresses the demon-fox, knowing that he is partly responsible for the massacre).
if that happens, sasuke will change sides, noticing who really was behind killing his parents, brother and stealing his childhood. he will accept the only support he can get against madara. naruto.
