[Discussion] How powerful was Gin Ichimaru?

I mean the guy was a beast, he toyed around with bankai ichigo, the 2 most terrifying things were:
1.His zampaktou Shinso, so fast in its bankai state that it can littery cut down a whole city in microsecond(if you do the math), and can leave a piece of it in his victims and kill them instantly.
2. His ability to never show anything and by that i mean no one could read him no one could see his next move until he makes it.
He was deffenatly one of the strongest Captins ever IMHO.

He was 3rd Captain of the Gotei 13 so it means a lot; he was unorthodox and cunning.

However, his Zanpakuto was nothing special and we never seen his Bankai.

Are they trolling about Bankai... Lol... It was clearly mentioned and shown that his Bankai is a one hit kill poisonous type which destroyed Condom Aizen from inside. But Hogyoku saved Aizen. And He is hell strong. Stronger than Any Espada atleast.

Just the one shot kill thing is so awsome and strog he mentiond that its 500 x the speed of sound, so its crazy fast if he just pointed it, he almoust killed Aizen when all the other captins could not evan hurt him

He was strong, certainly stronger than his fellow juniors. His Shikai was shit and his base stats (speed, durability, physical str, etc.) were barely top Espada level. His only reiatsu feat was crushing a few peeps who were no more than VC-level back in the SS arc. Only his Bankai was deadly, and mixed with his cunning he could effectively tag opponents who are supposed to be more powerful than him and poison them.

If he were to face the Sternritters with the feats he demonstrated back in FKT, he'd lose to the strongest non-elites.

its not actually 500x sound, he mentions it when he explains its real powers to aizen. it is still extremely fast and long, but not as much as he says.

he is definately one of the stronger characters of the arrancar arc, as he was beating hollowfied ichigo easily, and was one of the only people to critically wound aizen after he subjugated the hogyoku. definately above the espada in a fight, probably above anyone else by sneak attack melting them.

I think that Gin has a chance against Kenpachi. Why? Kenpachi would underestimate his sword, and he wouldn't mind getting slashed by it. But he doesn't know that the sword would explode insite him lol.

Still, no eyepatch kenpachi (pre shikai) is still above him. He just wins due to match up
