I just spent the last twenty minutes typing up a thread filled with scans, etc and my phone just erased it. The anger that dwells within me right now should be palpable. Here's the abridged version of that original thread:
Ok. We all heard Hashirama say that a BM Naruto is close in power to his very own. So let's say their power is more or less equal for the sake of argument.
Now, it took a reflected mini TBB to destroy a BM clone. So a Hashirama clone will more or less require the same amount of trauma to be successfully destroyed.
So, how powerful is a mini TBB? Well KCM Naruto was positive at the time to think it would've destroyed the 3rd Raikage. I doubt it would've but we at least know it's stronger than a FRS. So it's safe to put it somewhere between being much stronger than the TBB the 6 tailed Naruto used to destroy 3 Rashamon gates, and less powerful than the Hachibis Own TBB.
So, who possesses a jutsu that's as powerful as a mini TBB? Whoever those ninja are, they are the only ones powerful enough to destroy just a Hashirama clone. That's insane.
This means you had to be Sannin level or higher just to have a chance at killing a mere Hashirama clone. Most members in the Akatsuki are at least Sannin level, and yet are considered some of the most powerful ninja in the NV. And yet even them will struggle against a Hashirama clone.
Hashirama probably sent his clones to defeat his foes when he was Hokage, as not many people were valid enough to warrant his presence.
