I assume he's not just simply sitting in Prison and doing nothing. My guess is that he is doing training similar to the training Ichigo was doing for the final getsuga tensho while the Hogyoku is gaining power. I bet he'll be at a whole other level than where he was before.

Not really.

He is bind to the chair, No way that Gotei will let HIM having his own room, fresh air and training place.

Hogyoku don't acknowledge him, so it's possilbe that he will not be transcedent after his return.

I would estimate that he will not be strong as his Final Hogyoku form, I assume there will be two final battles. Final one, Yhwach vs Ichigo and second mini final, Urahara vs Aizen. So, I believe Aizen wouldn't be stronger than his shinigami self.

Urahara should be able to decimate a non-Hogyoku Aizen.

Hogyuko still acknowledges him somewhat, otherwise he wouldn't be immortal. Plus he doesn't need a place to train, he can sit there and meditate and train within himself just like Ichigo has before.

In order to train just like Ichigo, with his zanpakuto, he would need zanpakuto, but he don't have one.

He's alive and well so it wouldn't make sense to not have him return when he can still make a huge impact on the story. I believe the author said that Aizen still has a role to play.

I honestly don't see much progression in Aizen's strength, considering how he is strapped to a chair and the Hyogoku doesn't acknowledge him anymore, to be honest I think we'll see a regression in Aizen's strength. While he can never be "just a shinigami" anymore I don't think he has as great an access to the hyogoku's abilities anymore and that while he may retain some of it's abilities like immortality and regeneration his combative moveset will revolve mostly around Kyoka Suigetsu and his shinigami abilities.

That being said at least we may have a shot at seeing his long anticipated Bankai.

And my friends I think we can all agree that it will be unreal.

He can train with the Hogyuko and its been shown he can still use KS for some unknown reason. My guess is that his Zanpakto assmulated with either him or the hogyuku.

I was wondering about his Bankai too, we haven't seen it before have we?

I'm sorry I misspoke I forgot that Aizen's zanpakuto shattered when he completely fused with the hyogoku, so at this point we might not even see it again.

Nah we have never seen it , I think some people even believe that may have used Kyoka Suigetsu to trick the Captain Commander into thinking he had a Bankai.

To be fair that theory isn't very farfetched, I mean Aizen did trick the entire Gotei 13 into believing that Kyoka Suigetsu confused enemies by reflecting their images in mist or something, so he could probably fake a Bankai as well.

He did use the ability of his shikai on Baach, which should have been impossible. Hogyoku didn't allow him to have his sword, so I think this was foreshadowing of something.

It was shown that he used some trick, but not KS.

Hogyoku don't acknowledge him anymore. He is immortal, but that can only be because he was once acknowledged by him, but he is not anymore.

Probably we will never see Aizen's bankai.

Kubo writte him in corner with Aizen's shikai, calling it completely hypnosis and if his shikai is alone completely, than it can't really be stronger.
