well... i thought of this yesterday myself. Lets say that , if someone would say something about the uchihas or sasuke or a member of itachi's family he would freak out , probably. but rather than that , he would be the itachi that we all know of ^^

Even if he had obtained EMS, his sickness would have still got the better of him. It wouldn't have posed much more of an advantage than his regular MS.

Now, if he WASN'T sick and had EMS, there is no doubt in my mind that he'd be one of the strongest shinobi in history and amongst the highest tiers, more so than he already was.

However, I think him being sick and therefore not revealing his true strength/potential fits his character and pacifistic nature better. But that's just my opinion.

That is not true in the slightest. It was never stated that only Indra could unlock the EMS, and quite frankly that should be common sense. The EMS is not as rare/powerful as people like to play it up to be. Its only as rare as the MS, since the EMS only requires two MS to be put together. Itachi could have taken Sasuke's MS and achieved the EMS.

Now, on topic: I don't think Itachi would have been anymore powerful than he already was. Itachi was never like Sasuke: he used his MS tech sparingly. Always thought before he did anything, and always strategized in a fight with his preference being Genjutsu tech. The only advantage EMS would give Itachi would be when he used MS (Susanoo), but that was rare.

Sasuke went from being exhausted after one or two Amaterasus and susano rib cage with his MS to spamming susano and Enton against zetsus cuz of EMS. Itachi already outlasted sasuke I'm their fight so his stamina is not as bad as people make it to be. I'm the end he didn't die from stamina but from disease. Ems allows them to spam their preferred tech so imagine itachi spamming tsukyomi with no pain. GG NV. 3 seconds is 72 hours of mind rape. Even 1 second is enough to kill plus he can follow up with Amaterasu. Not to mention he would have PS with yata and Totsuka. He was already invincible but EMS would make him God level.
