i think the best way to describe peins working is a advanced from of puppet mastery. the realms in the recent manga may be the puppets functions
1 god realm seems to do the sealing the chakra rain technque the five barrier seal shape shifting lit aperation technque to apear at the akatsuki meetings and the shape shifting technque to change a ninjas apearence. this is the form of yahiko who was jirayas student.
2 ghost realm this form can absorb ninjutsu of any rank maybe thats why it refered to as the ghost realm as the body is never harmed.
3 human realm seems to be able to read and extract souls like the reaper death seal but the body seems to be a human of a sort embodiement of the death god
4 demon realm has the long range attack used the attack strange arm flaming arrow to take jiraiyas arm off probrobly named the demon realm because the abilites are unatural.
5 hell realm function is unknowen considering the name it may be some genjutsu like pugatory his abilites maybe.
6 animal realm able to summon animals this form is a summoning role this is a new body of pein to replace the one killed my jiraiya it abilites are the same. its realm sudgests it controls animals.
