Pretty young, not sure about actual age nut I'd say somewhere around his mid 30 (just my guess) and as to how he died, Idk he is so powerful with awesome healing .. how could he die ..

no idea how old he was but we can assume it was young. the first time orochimaru used Edo tensei in part one, he revived hashirama just as he was before he died. so how ever old he was he was very young. the precise age in unknown

Naw I could've seen him around early 50s (same age as jiraiya at the time of his death) right before his death. I mean he became a grandparent but at the same time, he didn't look too old so that's probably the best range.

Well lets see the 3rd was around Naruto age when Tobirama died,Making the 3rd around 16 to about 18.
So lets say that most ninja lead a team of kids when they about Kakashi age (Kakashi generations age) Making Tobirama about late 30ish when he died.
So my very bad an wrong guess would be be about early 40ish. . .So he had a kid when he was 20,and hes kid had a kid when he was 20,Tsunade 4(or 6) when he died,soo lets say she trained under 3rd when she was about 13 to 14,making the 3rd around the same age as Kakashi when had to train Naruto(this is just some proof about the whole age when your team leader of a bunch of brats). . .Soo with that un-understandable logic,he was late 40ies when he died.

So I stand by and say he was under the age of 50 when he died,anywhere between 42 to 46.

he died after some time when he founded konoha in the many wars that took place ... lol is so hard to look on narutowiki... ?
but not after he passed down the title of hokage to tobirama.
so maybe a log of guys attacked him or died just like the 3rd raikage from exhausting.

nowhere in the manga it is said that he died during the war. its just an assumption thats all
