How old is the kyuubi? And what were the tailed beasts doing before madara's era?also

So the kyuubi I think is close to a thousand years old. According to japanese folklore every tail signifies 100 years because it is a kitsune species. However, when shown with the so6p the bijuu are young yet are still with all their tails. So I cant use this as a reference. And what was going on before the times of hashi and madaram I know its far down the line but still intersting to wonnder about. Kishi can write even more...

300-400 years old before Madara & Hashirama era estimate imo.Since SO6P was fortelling his death when he created the tailed beasts then had two sons then each son must of died of age or something then pass on another clan then eventually that clan turned into the Uchiha and Senju.

Tailed Beasts were probably just chilling minding there own business sleeping on mountains and so on
