How often do you road rage?

I only get mad at bicyclists who try to be both a pedestrian and a 'motor' vehicle. If you ride on the road here, you must obey all signs and rules the same as a car. But no, some like to ride their bikes through crosswalks (when they should walk their bike across), ride on the wrong side of the road, or even ride their bicycles all willy nilly and into traffic thinking the rest of us must yield to their stupidity. I have almost collided with more bicycles than cars who fail to yield right of way or operate as though they are a pedestrian, or run red lights/stop signs. I only like the cyclists who obey the law.

The same can be said about drivers. Automobiles run reds, roll through a stop signs, drive all willy nilly, eat, talk on the phone, text, change radio stations. The reason why you have more incidents with almost collisions with cyclist is because cars are easy to spot. The most likely reason why they were almost collisions instead of actual collisions is because the cyclist was probably a little more defensive and focus on all other vehicles than you were.

I get it, I understand that there's bad cyclist, but there are also bad drivers. I think there are more bad drivers than bad cyclist. I do both and I concentrate more while cycling. The only time I ever put more focus when I'm in my car is at the track or autocross.

I don't think you understand me.. The only reason those cyclists did not get hit are because of my own defensive driving techniques. I'm Talking about the times like where it's freaking late at night, I get to the top of a hill that has a crosswalk with a button to activate amber lights, and some fool wearing all dark clothing, no lights on his bike, goes blowing through the crosswalk at full speed from a blind corner, and not activating the amber lights. I'm Pretty sure he could see my headlights long before my lights reflected off the frame of his bike when he was a foot away from my bumper.
Or it's broad daylight and a cyclist is in the opposite lanes of traffic and suddenly rides into traffic because he wanted to turn left. For you to assume these cyclists didn't get hit b cause of their own actions is insulting. A majority of cyclists do the right thing and share the road as designed, but there are enough who disregard their own well-being enough for me to make this post. And yes there are a crap ton of horrible drivers and I spent my summer ticketing them for their stupidity. when it comes to cyclists, it doesn't take much for there to be fatal or serious injuries, yet I see so many who disregard the system and narrowly avoid collisions or wind up being the latest traffic fatality in the city. I do agree that several drivers should not have licenses, but I also think there are many cyclists who don't know the proper way to travel with motorized vehicles. I know the rules for both here and the lack of enforcement on cyclists has resulted in blatant disregard for traffic control devices that would get any motorist an immediate fine. Donutbayo

Driving is fun. Let it go. Just concentrate on the road and anticipate what other drivers might do and you won't be surprised at what happens. That being said, i do get road rage...when I commute riding my bicycle. Most motorist just don't give a crap about pedestrians. Just because you have a license and a car doesn't mean you're the only one that is allowed to use the roadways.

eh the argument can be made against bikers also. They're arrogant and self absorbed when on the road. If you're riding a bike chances are you're not pressed for time, which means as a decent human being when riding on a road with no shoulder you should clear out of the way to let cars pass. Or how about the group of obnoxious bikers who ride down a road and stagger next to each other taking up an entire lane, how are they any more compassionate to the needs of their fellow people? Until more bikers can learn to share the road(ironic I know since that's most bike rider's go to rhetoric) it should be illegal for them to ride a bike on any road without a shoulder or bike lane. I get it you want to be active/healthy and environmentally conscious but the public road ways were not created for bikes to be the primary focus get over it.

Although, I hate it when people deliberately speed up past you just to get in front of you when there are numerous open lanes for them to get into yet they just feel the need to show off.
