Remember how all the rocks fell on obito? I think the ground beneath obito gave way from the weight of the rocks.
I think this because Madara said obito collapsed in the underground passage that he made. The ground had to been weaker because of the passage. What do you think?

do you people even read the words on the pages of the manga, or do you just look at the pictures? Madara says there was no way he should have lived, but it was almost as if he slipped through the rocks. I think its fairly obvious what happened.......Kamui!

That would compound the weight on one side and would crush many vital organs like your brain and lung. You still need those to live. On top of the flor giving way when Obito would land on the ground he would have those rocks fall on him again, which would hurt more with the velocity from them.
