In our society, as kids, we tend to do a lot of negative things revolving around technology. From bending our heads down far too much to look at our portable devices, to spending hours in front of the computer every day, to spamming our feeds on instagram with selfies. We do it all the time, and with no remorse or second thoughts. In some cases, the action of doing it isn't terrible, but it's what content comes with it that we tend to let shape us. I'm not saying that illuminati has been confirmed in everything we do, but alot of signals and other things tend to push us away from certain activities on different levels. I see alot of the following themes recurring on TV far too often.

  • All Caucasian blonds are idiots
  • All PE teachers are screaming psychopaths who give no concern to 'wimps'
  • White skinny people are wimps
  • The faster you get the V, the cooler you are
  • Caucasian people are the superior race
  • Any negative incident happening towards a black person is racism
  • No non-American can speak fluent english

That's just to name a few. I know there are 100s of others, but I wanted your opinion. How bad is TVs negative influence on society?

Believe me, it's very severe, TV is passive consumption for the unthinking masses.

Most of those you listed are stereotypes, and they're just reiterated in the media and T.V., they didn't stem from it. I've found the only people who get influenced by the media and T.V. as a whole are usually the sheep who can't think for themselves.

TV contributes to them staying as sheep, it reinforces their mindset and behavior.

As bad as you believe it is. TV spreads information either good, bad, stereotypes, facts, etc. People have to skim through what they need to believe and what is not to be believed which sort of falls onto the parents of children.

Moderately. It can be a propaganda source, but most people use it for entertainment.

Social Media is the dangerously bad media. The majority use it for a past-time. The cunning use it for politics
