After the defeat of Kaguya, resulting in a peaceful one world order, it's rather wise yet predictable that Naruto should release every Tailed Beast so they can lead a perfectly normal life.

Hagoromo would obviously take his chakra back from Naruto and Sasuke. One thing I'd hate to see is them getting stronger and stronger. I'd keep the "ninja" pace.

And if there were to be an new arc, the power scale shouldn't be any stronger. Seeing how Kaguya was a goddess, it would mean the new arc villain have to be somewhat stronger. Destroying the image of "ninja".

No, if he releases the Tailed Beasts people will round them up and everything will start over again.

The power ups were given to them to make the world a better place, so they are permanent, the sage made it clear with his speech.

Naruto would probably release the 8 and 1 tails back to their Jinchurikki since they are still alive. But I dont see him plumiting his powers. Maybe with the sages chakra he can do without the jin. Or he can probably just give them half of the beasts chakra and keep half. He would get all the rest from kaguya giving him an even bigger upgrade.

Hagoromo only survived because of the Gedo Mazo which Naruto doesn't have, that is the only exception.

I forgot the host dies from forced extraction, surely the Uzumaki developed a technique for safe extraction, they are experts in Sealing Jutsu after all.
