[Discussion] How much weak is Sanji as a Cook compared to all SnS?

Let us be serious here, OK? If you're gonna say Sanji is weaker as a cook than... who? Some nameless cook in SnS? Who he can and can't defeat in Shokugeki? I'm trying to make sense of this. Are most SnS characters too much for Sanji? Kinda makes me disappointed as a Sanji fanboy, but I admit and accept my favorite characters even with their flaws. So Sanji learned "Attack Cuisine" yet it's not enough to clash with titans of cooking in SnS? Really?

This is a pointless and nonsensical comparison. SnS is a cooking manga about the most elite cooking school in Japan and with extension one of the most elite in the world. It goes in-depth about what the characters make, which ingredients they use and which techniques they apply. In OP however it doesn't go beyond someone just making food and see how people react on the end result. The entire creation process is omitted, for good reason as it's not important.

So asking how Sanji would fare against SnS characters makes no sense as the context is vastly different. There is no ground for comparison here.

The way how you formulated this is also rather ambiguous. It feels like that you are trying to spite Sanji by means of mocking his cooking abilities while at the same time you feel insulted because some unknown person apparently did the same thing?

OK. You're right. There is no ground for comparison here, but I was bothered why is Sanji underestimated by readers that much. Should Oda dedicate one chapter in cooking to demonstrate Sanji's cooking skills?

Well SNS is relatively realistic in the way they make their dishes and Sanji has some One Piece nonsense mixed into it. He skated on a grill with a giant grill once with a giant spatula. He also made a giant pie out of a cherry.

So to be fair if you want a fair crossover and Sanji can use everything the SNS characters can combined to his cartoonish skill he would be the king of the elite 10.

But I agree with Cali, this is nonsense XD

I think we can all agree that he is already pretty much at the top of the OP culinary world. So anyone who says he is a shit cook can't be taken seriously.

You lost me in this part. What are you trying to say?

Uhm Sanji has been dissed for a lot of things throughout this arc, but it's the first time I heard anything about his cooking skills being underestimated. Heck I didn't even know people are actually having an argument about this. OP is not a cooking manga, cooking isn't important either. It just happens so that this arc has a food theme running and that meals are a means to an end for BM's condition, but that's about it. The process is really not important, seriously the only thing we know is that they are making a cake and that it's delicious. That's it and we don't need to know more than that when it considers the cooking aspect of the series.

And the way you formulated your OP felt weird. First it seemed you tried to give Sanji some slack, but then your last sentence felt like someone attacked you in your believe that Sanji is on the same level as the Elite 10. Either way you can't compare Sanji with SnS characters.
