Ao the Kirigakure shinobi has 1 Byakugan.

It is said that the Byakugan when activated, gives 360 degrees vision (with a blindspot).
How does it work for someone like Ao?

Does he have 180 degrees vision when he activates his Byakugan, because he has only 1 Byakugan?
Does he have 360 degree vision when he activates his Byakugan and does he only suffer from
having 1 eye covered by an eye patch, when the Byakugan is deactivated?

Hmm not sure but it definitely won't give you the 360 degree view imo. He might still have the range though (e.g HInata can see 10km with byakugan).

We would know this because Kishi elaborated on this matter right?

Even if the answer isnt written anywhere (I am not certain about that), we could still discuss the topic and share views on the matter.

Views that are gonna be non-cannon and virtually useless and pointless...

Specially being that don't know much about the Dojutsu or how exactly it works...

Sure I could say he has 180 but him having 360 could also be justified.... Why? Because we don't know how these people are able to see all around them with eyes in the front of their head.

Well it has my interest what people their views are on this topic, so reading people's views isnt useless for me personally.
I do get your point though that if the answer isnt written anywhere by Kishi and if there isnt a way to find out by ourselfs (with info from the series, logic etc.) than we wont find a factual answer, which could be seen by some as non-cannon and useless.

I know some ways how we can maybe find out if 1 Byakugan gives 180 degrees vision or 360.

Kakashi often closes his normal eye when fighting with sharingan right? It would probably make his sharingan vision messy and less in focus, if he keeps his normal eye open when sharingan is activated (two different type of eye views, sharingan and normal eye, that would need to fuse into one view).

Ao didnt close his normal eye when using the Byakugan right? This could be because his Byakugan gives 360 degrees vision and just overlaps his normal eye view.
There would be no need to close the normal eye because it doesnt combine into one view in the same way Kakashis sharingan would when opened with his normal eye.

I would like to try and figure out if Ao has 360 view or not with arguments like these for example.

And maybe we can tell more from manga/anime fragments were we see him use byakugan what kind if view he has, 360 or 180.

Together we could succeed in finding the answer.
Please lend me your powah!
:hooray:
