How much time ago's reality can rewritten by the Izanagi?

If so then how come Madara was able to reverse his death which happened a few hours before the activation time(i'm not sure about this though) of the technique ?Didn't he just ''ingest/swallow'' Hashi's DNA?Even if somehow he could access the senju power from it,how could he reverse his death which happened atleast an hour before?

He didn't use Izanagi for 4 hours(aprox). He set the eye to use izanagi after the 4 hour interval. Like Itachi set Amaterasu in Sasuke's eye. It was explained in the manga dude.

But how could Izanagi rewrite a reality that happened four hours ago?Almost everywhere the effects/injuries reversed by Izanagi have been caused almost a few seconds ago..so does that mean Izanagi can rewrite reality that took place anytime ago and it can bring back the user to any state in his life?Meaning even return to the younger state?

I'm not talking the duration for which Izanagi is active,but how much reality can it rewrite in terms of time..

I give it 5 minutes since Konan used her paper jutsu for 10 minutes and Obito's intangibility only worked for 5 min tops. He had to rewrite the 5 last minutes cuz he couldn't escape with Kamui which lead him into using Izanagi

However how did Madara rewrite his death,which in real happened hours ago ?That's what i wonder.

You remember how Itachi made a seal into Sasuke's eye which the command to cast Amaterasu when he looked at another Sharingan ? Madara kneaded chakra and gave a command to his Sharingan to activate Izanagi x-hours after his death amidst the fight. Maybe Madara could do that because you know he is Madara
